Our View:

God's View:

Where are You?

Lord, where are You...why won't You answer me?

"I'm right here and I am answering, you just need to listen and believe that I will answer."

Opportunities

How many opportunities or chances does God give us to get it right?

Seventy times seven - in other words, there is no number.

But my question is: How many opportunities does He give us to do His will? If He guides us in a particular direction and once we get there we sin and mess up that opportunity, does He give us a second chance?

Does God always give second chances when we miss His original blessing in a particular area due to sin? And by second chances I mean the opportunity to fix what we did wrong and try the same thing again?

How many chances do we get to love the one He called us to be with - is that up to God to allow those opportunities or is it up to us to create those opportunities and try again.

Peace Admist Busyness

Peace does not have to be found only in the calmness and serenity of life. One can have peace admist busyness. Peace comes from within.

Likewise, calmness and serenity do not equal peace for if we are under continuous inner turmoil we will feel as if we are constantly busy and peace eludes us.

After asking God to fill me with His peace recently admist my busy schedule, He revealed to me that it is not my busy schedule which has been keeping me from Him and His peace. Instead the inner turmoil and continuous on-the-go of my mind is the reason for my lack of peace. Even when I'm busy I can feel calm and peaceful as long as my heart and mind are in the right Place. If my heart and mind are in the wrong place then it wouldn't matter what I was experiencing or doing in my life, peace would escape me.

Peace is found in Christ. Period.

Carried Dreams

I have been in a rather reflective state as of recent but to tell you the truth I actually quite enjoy being in such states of mind.

There is a Christian song out now of which one line is... "I,'ve been carried by You all my life....everything rides on hope now. Everything rides on faith somehow..."

As I have looked back over my life, recent and old, I can plainly see God's hand in it all. There are still many things I don't understand and things that happened that I haven't quite figured out the reason for or what the ultimate outcome will be but I know that I don't need to know these things because God does. He is in control. God has always carried me and will continue to do so. Everything works for His glory and He always has my best in mind.

I don't understand. I have dreams unanswered. Longings unfulfilled. But one day God will carry me to the place where these dreams are reality and my longings are fulfilled beyond imagination. I know He will because He has before.

Reflect.

Look Back.

God has always been there.

He will always be here.

Ready to fulfill our dreams. My dreams. God always has a way and His will always resounds.

God Enjoys Play

Once

What the heart has once owned and had, it shall never lose.~ Henry Ward Beecher

I had it, which is more than most can say, and and that in and of itself is a true blessing from God.

Plans and Desires

God brings about our desires but in His own way and His own time.

We may plan our ways and in the end the things we planned will ultimately occur but God may bring those plans to completion in a way other than how we planned for things to go.

To know or no

We must learn to be satisfied in knowing the One Who knows, even if we ourselves do not know.

Pleasure

"If you pursue pleasure for its own sake, two things happen. First, it disappears. Second it steers you wrong, because pleasure can result from doing wrong as well as doing right."

Good

Temptation

Temptation begins not with the actual temptation but with the "temptation" to put oneself in a situation that would possibly or likely lead to a temptation to sin. Therefore, we should stay away from things or situations that normally lead us to be tempted to sin that way we are not putting ourselves in a position to give in to temptation.

A Child's Hymn

"Jesus Loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so..."

We so ofen focus on us loving God that I hink we forget that He loves us. He longs for us. If you truly grasp that concept you'll be absolutely amazed. I know that's what has happened for me.

Kids

Kids being ornary are the perfect depiction of how we often interact with God. How close can we get to the line without upsetting Him...how much can we get away with...? Kids are a great picture of us from God's eyes, I do believe.

Protection in the Rain

Many people think that the rain is soothing and comforting. I tend to agree - it is often peaceful. However, this particular post shows a diffferent interpretation.

God is our umbrella in the rain
