We're not good - Christ is the only way that we are "good" - through Him.

Are we "good"
The pastor at the church I attended made this statement this morning. When first hearing (or reading as the case will be on here) this statement many people will be offended and even disagree with the statement. I ask you to please think about it before you make a judgement, however. Personally, I think it's true.

It's very true. Grace is the path to Heaven. Jesus paved it. Trying to get to Heaven on one's own by being "good" is like trying to build a bridge out of a handfull of beads. Jesus appreciates the beauty of beads, but He knows all too well they don't make any sort of path at all. That's why He paved one for us. It's the only way. All we have to do is admit we've got nothing on Him and enjoy the path He made. Beads or no beads, grace is all.
